cocobolo

My table has finally arrived, it was dropped off by Pedro last week. I spent the weekend in a fung shui meditation state to come up with how to properly display it in my little den of iniquity...

For those of you who may never have the privilage of actually seeing it in person here it is.

Of course, I must give credit to the master craftsman who makes Norm look like a chump in the woodshop!

Very cool. And with the Bongos, it looks like a staged ethnic Ikea ad. Nice job, Chuck. Who knew?

That looks like the Dalai Lama hand delivered that.

~~flashback to last Saturday~~

Chuck wakes to a gentle knock at the door. He rolls out of his custom bed, slides on an Apollo pizza box and kicks a 7-10 split on the empty Guinness cans. He opens the door to find the Dalai Lama himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. (wait a minute flowing robes, grace, bald..is Chuck the 13th Lama?)

The Lama glides up the stairs carrying the new table, enters and places it in the exact spot that recieves the most positive energy in the apartment.

The Lama turns to Chuck and says "Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga."

Chuck is misty-eyed, he pries open his green velcro wallet ready to give the Lama a little tip for his effort.

The Lama then says "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness."

Chuck thinks 'So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.'

The Lama starts walking up Lincoln street, turns and says to Chuck "head north and help an old friend create exterior fire."
